BioLite Revolutionizes The Traditional Campfire

July 27, 2012, BROOKLYN, NY Biolite LLC, an innovator in energy solutions, announces the luanch of the BioLite CampStove, an efficient and safe cookstove, with the ability to convert heat from the fire into usable electricity for recharging electronics.

"We spent years developing the technology to offer a unique benefit to outdoor travelers: to never have to carry fuel again," says BioLite CEO Jonathan Cedar. "It is exciting to finally bring this product to market and we have been blown away by the enthusiastic response we've seen from our users. We're grateful for this energetic fan base as we gear up for our retail launch next year."

The CampStove utilizes BioLite's patent-pending technology to convert waste heat into electricity that powers a fan, creating an ultra-efficient fire through improved combustion. Both a great cooking stove and an off-grid power charger, surplus electricity can be used to charge small electronic devices, making it a true on-demand energy source. Additionally, the CampStove is a convenient and green choice, reducing an individual's carbon footprint and keeping fuel canisters out of landfills by using twigs and other solid biomass instead of non-renewable petroleum gas.

The new BioLite campstove is available now at biolitestove.com and in stores Spring 2013. Visit BioLite's booths at Summer Outdoor Retailer (indoors at PV 159 in the New Exhibitor's Pavillion and outdoors by the South Plaza entrance) to experience the CampStove in action.
